Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics Statement

The Journal of Advanced Social Educational Development Discovery (ASEDD) is a peer-reviewed journal published by ASED Publication Enterprise. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the chief editor, the Editorial Board, peer reviewers, and the publisher. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of an article in The Journal of Advanced Social Educational Development Discovery (ASEDD) is a significant component in developing a coherent and respected knowledge network. It reflects the quality of the authors’ work and the institutions that support them. Therefore, it is essential to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in publishing: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the academic community.

ASED Publication Enterprise, as the publisher of this journal, takes its responsibilities at all stages of publication seriously. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprints, or other commercial revenue do not influence editorial decisions. Additionally, the publisher and the Editorial Board will assist in communications with other journals or publishers if necessary.

Publication Decisions

The editor is responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published in this journal. These decisions must be based on the academic significance and contribution of the article to the relevant research field. The editor may be guided by the journal’s editorial policies and legal requirements, such as defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult other editorial members or peer reviewers when making this decision.

Transparency and Editorial Responsibility

Fair Play

The editor will evaluate manuscripts based on intellectual content, regardless of the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality

The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, peer reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor's own research without the author's written consent.

Duties of Peer Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and may help authors improve their manuscripts through constructive communication.

Promptness

Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to evaluate a manuscript or knows that timely review will be impossible should notify the editor immediately.

Confidentiality

Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others without the editor’s authorization.

Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly and support them with sound arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any significant similarity or overlap with any other published work should be brought to the editor's attention.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the papers.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors should present an accurate account of their original research and discuss its significance objectively. The underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper to allow other researchers to replicate the study. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If they have used the work or words of others, they must cite or quote them appropriately.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported research.

Authorship of the Manuscript

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors.

The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included in the paper, and that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper.

By publishing in The Journal of Advanced Social Educational Development Discovery (ASEDD), authors, editors, and peer reviewers agree to adhere to these publication ethics guidelines.
